Acorn Valley Outdoor School operates stand-up paddleboard (SUP) lessons at the Verdun waterfront in Montreal, Quebec. The Verdun location runs along Boulevard LaSalle beside the St. Lawrence River, offering open water access and summer paddling conditions suited to beginner group lessons and Paddle Canada certification sessions. This is Acorn Valley's only Quebec location and the school's easternmost summer site. Lessons run June through September. All equipment is provided. Instructors offer multilingual instruction in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Beginner group classes start at CAD $35.
Programs available at Verdun, Montreal
- Group SUP Lesson (75 min) — from CAD $35: Beginner-friendly group class with 1 instructor and 4–6 students. Suitable for first-timers and families joining a summer session in Montreal. All equipment included.
- Focused Small Group Class (90 min) — from CAD $49: Max 3 students per instructor. A better fit for returning paddlers or students wanting more coaching time and individual feedback.
- Returning Paddler Sessions: Students who have paddled before and want to refine technique, improve board control, or build confidence on open water are welcome at this location. Mention your experience level when booking.
- Paddle Canada Certification Course: Flatwater Basic and Advanced skill certification through Paddle Canada. Contact us to schedule a certification session at the Verdun location.
